MISSION

  1. To serve as a liaison between the Department of Radiology and our referring physician’s offices acting as a resource for all aspects of their radiology experience.

  2. To educate and promote the full spectrum of the Department of Radiology’s resources to our referring physician offices, which includes our locations at the main campus, Yawkey, Waltham, Chelsea and Charlestown.


ABOUT US

In 1999, the MGH Department of Radiology recognized the need to link key clinical functions together in an effort to promote awareness and education around advances in medical imaging.  With the vast amount of information and resources available to physicians and patients, “building a bridge” for streamlined communication between the Department of Radiology and referring physicians and their patients was an opportunity whose time had arrived.

The role of MGH Radiology Marketing remains today to proactively provide dedicated staff and resources from within Radiology to our referring physicians, their staff and patients.  In the dynamic imaging industry landscape, the ability to consistently exceed rapidly changing customer expectations while exploring new and innovative ways to communicate the message of MGH Radiology will be vital to our continued success.

With a Department-wide Strategic Plan focusing on Quality and Safety, MGH Radiology is committed to exceptional customer service, while simultaneously providing the highest possible levels of patient safety.  With the recently opened Yawkey Center for Outpatient Care, as well as community based imaging centers in Waltham and Chelsea, our customers now have access to a healthcare leader in imaging services, within a very short time frame.  In a highly competitive marketplace, MGH Radiology stands apart from other providers in the industry with our distinct advantages:

MARKETING ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Radiology Marketing Team consists of one Marketing Director, four Marketing Managers and two Web Development specialists; an Organizational Chart (download .pdf) has been included for reference.  We report directly to the Radiology Department’s Administrative Director, as well as to the Department’s Vice Chair of Business Development.  Primary responsibilities for the Team are:

GOALS

MGH Radiology Marketing’s goals are to position the following themes:
  • Distinct Advantages of MGH Radiology: distinguishing factors in a highly competitive marketplace such as MGH clinical expertise, state of the art technology and the premium placed on the patient and physician radiology experience.

  • Access: via the recently opened Yawkey Center for Outpatient Care, as well as our community based imaging centers in Waltham and Chelsea, the ability to obtain world class imaging services within a very short time frame.

  • Quality and Safety: a Department wide commitment to unparalleled customer service, while simultaneously providing the highest possible levels of patient safety.
